How we see children

Every child climbs at their own pace. Our mission is to nurture each child academically and socially to prepare for school, career and life. We use a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum, which means teachers plan for the age and stage in front of them, not a single script. We keep it safe and secure. We keep it affordable. And we keep it loving, which is the part children remember.

Rooms are set up so children can reach things themselves. Teachers get down at eye level, follow what a child is reaching for, and work in small groups. Infants rock, swing, do tummy time, jump, play, sing songs, eat, and nap. Teachers help babies settle into a set eating and napping schedule, because knowing what comes next comforts them. Daily sheets tell you how your baby ate, slept, and diapered.

Heather Cebollero has more than 20 years of daycare experience. She holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and is Montessori certified. Every Wednesday, Ms. Jodi comes to the school for Music. Children sing songs, play instruments, and play with puppets. She visits all of the classrooms from waddlers and up, so every child gets to experience our music fun.

What you notice in practice

Teachers watch first. They get down at a childs eye level, follow what the child is already reaching for, and build small groups around that interest. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, so the plan matches the age and stage in the room. Music is part of the week for everyone, and teachers carry that music into the rest of the day.

Classrooms are arranged for the children who use them, with materials they can choose and put back. The day moves in a steady rhythm: active stretches and quiet ones, meals, rest, and time to play. Every Wednesday Ms. Jodi brings music to all the classrooms from waddlers and up.

How we work with families

At pickup, teachers share how the day went. For infants, daily sheets track eating, sleeping, and diapering. Parents can ask questions anytime. We work to keep a clean, happy, and loving atmosphere. Babies thrive on consistency, so we aim for set eating and napping schedules.

Starting a new room takes time, and we treat it that way. Teachers keep to a steady rhythm so a new child can learn what comes next, and babies in particular settle into a set eating and napping schedule. Families can ask the director any question, big or small. From the infant room, your baby climbs the ladder to the Waddler room when the time is right.
