Infant Program

Infants (6 weeks to 12 months)

Infants start at the bottom of our Learning Ladder. The first year holds many milestones, and teachers watch for each one. A baby's day includes rocking, swinging, tummy time, jumping, playing, singing, eating and napping. Teachers work toward a set eating and napping schedule. Daily sheets tell you about your baby's eating, sleeping and diapering. From here, babies climb to the Waddler room.

What this looks like in practice

Steady care in the first year pays off at home. A baby who eats and naps at similar times each day is often easier to settle in the evening. Daily sheets let you pick up the thread instead of guessing. You may notice more babbling, reaching and rolling as the weeks pass, because someone is talking and playing with your baby all day.
